💡 How to hang wallpaper

Before starting work and hanging the wallpaper, please pay attention to the following aspects: check the article number, the batch number, and the pattern repeat symbols. Please keep the control slip and wallpaper samples.

Carefully prepare the surface

Surface preparation – the surface must be dry, sound, capable of absorbing moisture evenly, clean, neutral, and smooth. Old wallpaper and water-soluble coatings must be removed. Cracks and holes should be filled with a spackling compound if necessary, while highly absorbent surfaces must be pre-primed with wallpaper paste (sizing). Old, unstable surfaces that cannot bear a load must be primed with a specially designed wallpaper primer.

Attention! Non-woven wallpaper must be hung on a uniformly colored surface. For this reason, we recommend applying a pigmented base coat under the wallpaper.

The adhesive must be applied directly to the wall.

We recommend using a high-quality, reliable brand of adhesive specifically designed for non-woven wallpaper, and following the preparation instructions provided. Thoroughly mix the non-woven wallpaper adhesive according to the manufacturer's guidelines. Using a roller, apply the adhesive to the wall over the width of the wallpaper roll.

 Hanging the wallpaper.

Hanging non-woven wallpaper always begins "from the light," which means that wallpapering the walls should start near a window. Ensure that the first strip of wallpaper is applied in a perfectly vertical line and properly aligned vertically, so that subsequent strips can be hung straight.

After the wall is coated with adhesive, the non-woven wallpaper is applied directly to the wall and smoothed out with a roller; moreover, this type of wallpaper requires no soaking time. Using a soft wallpapering brush, a cloth, or a microporous rubber roller, press the strip firmly against the wall and smooth it out to prevent the formation of air bubbles.

Trimming the excess and finishing up...

Trim the overhanging edges of the wallpaper at the top and bottom. Hang the subsequent strips of wallpaper perfectly edge-to-edge (butt joint). A conical seam roller can be used at the joints. Please note that strong heat and drafts must be avoided during application and drying. The optimal working temperature ranges from 18 °C to 25 °C.

Additional tips

Another advantage of decorating walls with non-woven wallpaper is that, if applied properly, it can be easily and completely removed dry from the wall during your next renovation.

Description

The main distinguishing feature of this wallpaper is the exceptionally light, airy combination of pearlescent and silvery-grey tones, combined with an artistic, abstract, flowing pattern.

A key feature of this design is its deeply matt surface, combined with a subtle, slightly embossed texture characteristic of fabric. Visually, this design evokes the drape of soft, delicately draped linen or cotton fabric and light watercolour brushstrokes, completely eliminating any unwanted sheen or glare.

In interior design and the psychology of spaces, this combination of a matt finish, light tones and organic abstraction is the ideal tool for visually ‘dissolving’ the boundaries of a room, whilst maintaining maximum cosiness.

The psychological aspect and impact on the space:

  • Natural light diffusion without glare: Very light, silvery-white tones visually recede the walls and create a sense of spaciousness. Meanwhile, the deeply matt texture absorbs and very gently diffuses natural or artificial light. This creates exceptionally soft, diffused and even lighting in the room, which does not dazzle and has a visually calming effect.

  • Tactile cosiness and emotional security: A surface whose texture resembles real fabric removes the ‘cold’ or institutional character from the walls. The matt finish lends the colours a natural depth, creating a safe, enveloping and warm atmosphere that helps to relax the nervous system.

  • Sophisticated dynamics and concealment of wall imperfections: The abstract, undulating lines bring a flowing, organic rhythm and an illusion of 3D depth to the room. Thanks to its matt finish and fabric-like texture, this design perfectly conceals minor wall imperfections, creating a flawless and exceptionally elegant overall look.

Expert recommendations for room selection:

Thanks to its ability to gently diffuse light and create a visually soft perception of the space, this wallpaper is particularly suitable for:

  • South-facing and brightly lit rooms: where the matt surface will perfectly absorb direct sunlight, preventing distracting glare and ‘over-illumination’ of the room.

  • Bedrooms and relaxation areas: to create the most relaxing, quiet and sanctuary-like environment for undisturbed rest.

  • For contemporary and Scandinavian-style interiors: this wallpaper will harmonise beautifully with matt furniture fronts, natural wooden floors and interior textiles made from linen, wool or bouclé.
