Description

The Psychology of Design and Atmosphere

This photo wallpaper plays on the aesthetics of flowers and the power of the macro scale, creating a strong yet visually soft and soothing focal point in the room that does not require the viewer to process complex information.

  • Therapy through shades of lilac and pink: The dominant palette of fuchsia and purple is, in psychology, closely associated with love, care, feminine energy and mental balance. The soft, blurred background (bokeh effect) removes any visual sharpness, helping to relax the eyes and creating a deeply romantic, relaxing atmosphere in the room.
  • The orchid archetype and luxury: The orchid is a universal symbol of beauty, perfection and exclusivity. Its use in interior design subconsciously evokes associations with high-end spa resorts, purity and well-being, lending the room a subtle yet perceptible touch of luxury.
  • The power of the macro scale: By significantly magnifying natural details, this 3D photo wallpaper becomes the room’s central work of art. The curved flower stem and asymmetrical composition bring an organic flow to the room, which contrasts beautifully with the clean lines of the furniture and ‘softens’ the room’s overall geometry.

Placement recommendations

Thanks to its calming aesthetic and spa-like associations, this design is ideally suited to rooms whose primary function is relaxation, self-care and harmony:

  • In the bedroom (as a feature behind the bed): A wonderful choice for creating a romantic and gentle atmosphere. It will pair beautifully with light-coloured (white, cream, silvery grey) furniture, silk or satin textiles, and silver or crystal light fittings.
  • In beauty, massage or spa salons: An absolute classic for commercial premises associated with beauty and well-being. It immediately signals cleanliness, relaxation and a high standard of service to clients, helping them to unwind emotionally whilst in the waiting area.
  • In the bathroom (using moisture-resistant materials): It will transform a standard bathroom into a personal oasis of relaxation, creating a warm and exotic atmosphere for leisurely water treatments.

Please contact us and we will help bring your ideas to life. We offer a very wide selection of images on various themes. The license fee for an image is only 15 EUR.

Can I install wall murals on my own, and what do I need to do so?

Yes, you can apply wallpaper yourself. Before you begin, you will need the following items:

  • Wallpaper paste and cold water.
  • A container for mixing the paste.
  • A pencil and masking tape.
  • Scissors and a wallpaper knife (it is important to make sure the knife is clean and sharp to avoid damaging the wallpaper).
  • Measuring tools (ruler, tape measure) and a level.
  • A brush or roller for applying the paste.
  • A brush or roller for smoothing the wallpaper
What material are these wall murals made of?

The photo wallpapers are made of non-woven material with a density 120 g/m² (semi-matte material) and 160 g/m² (matte material) and do not contain any PVC components. Environmentally friendly and hypoallergenic paints are used in production. Non-woven wallpaper is very practical because it hides minor wall imperfections.

How do you properly prepare a wall before applying wallpaper?

The wall surface must always be clean, dry, and free of grease.

Any remnants of previous wallpaper must be completely removed from the wall.

For best results, it is recommended to apply finishing spackle to the wall. If the wall has deeper irregularities, they must be filled with filler before applying the wallpaper.

If the wall has contrasting colors, it is recommended to mask it with a bright color.

What kind of adhesive is needed for photo wallpaper?

For wall murals, you can use wallpaper paste designed for non-woven wallpaper. We highly recommend wallpaper paste from the leading German manufacturer AS Creation,
which is available in our store
.

Should the adhesive be applied to the wallpaper or to the wall?

Apply the adhesive only to the wall, in the spot where you plan to apply the first strip. Do not apply adhesive to the photo wallpaper. The adhesive layer should be thin and evenly spread; do not apply it too thickly.

What are the ideal conditions for hanging and drying wallpaper in a room?

The optimal room temperature during application and drying is 18–21 °C.

The room temperature must be above 10 °C.

It is not recommended to apply wallpaper in dry air if the temperature is below 10 °C, as this may adversely affect the drying of the adhesive.

Do not use heaters or other methods to speed up the drying process, and avoid excessive heat in the room

What should you do if excess glue gets on the wallpaper pattern?

Excess wallpaper paste can be carefully removed using a soft, damp sponge or cloth. However, be very careful—if you scrub the surface too hard with a dry sponge, you risk damaging the wallpaper print.

What should I do if I notice air bubbles after hanging the wallpaper?

When smoothing out the wallpaper, move the brush from the center of the strip toward the edges, starting from the top. If small air bubbles remain under the wallpaper after careful smoothing, it is impossible and unnecessary to force them out—under normal conditions, they should disappear on their own within 1–3 days.
