💡 How to hang wallpaper

Before starting work and hanging the wallpaper, please pay attention to the following aspects: check the article number, the batch number, and the pattern repeat symbols. Please keep the control slip and wallpaper samples.
Carefully prepare the surface
Surface preparation – the surface must be dry, sound, capable of absorbing moisture evenly, clean, neutral, and smooth. Old wallpaper and water-soluble coatings must be removed. Cracks and holes should be filled with a spackling compound if necessary, while highly absorbent surfaces must be pre-primed with wallpaper paste (sizing). Old, unstable surfaces that cannot bear a load must be primed with a specially designed wallpaper primer.
Attention! Non-woven wallpaper must be hung on a uniformly colored surface. For this reason, we recommend applying a pigmented base coat under the wallpaper.

The adhesive must be applied directly to the wall.
We recommend using a high-quality, reliable brand of adhesive specifically designed for non-woven wallpaper, and following the preparation instructions provided. Thoroughly mix the non-woven wallpaper adhesive according to the manufacturer's guidelines. Using a roller, apply the adhesive to the wall over the width of the wallpaper roll.

Hanging the wallpaper.
Hanging non-woven wallpaper always begins "from the light," which means that wallpapering the walls should start near a window. Ensure that the first strip of wallpaper is applied in a perfectly vertical line and properly aligned vertically, so that subsequent strips can be hung straight.
After the wall is coated with adhesive, the non-woven wallpaper is applied directly to the wall and smoothed out with a roller; moreover, this type of wallpaper requires no soaking time. Using a soft wallpapering brush, a cloth, or a microporous rubber roller, press the strip firmly against the wall and smooth it out to prevent the formation of air bubbles.

Trimming the excess and finishing up...
Trim the overhanging edges of the wallpaper at the top and bottom. Hang the subsequent strips of wallpaper perfectly edge-to-edge (butt joint). A conical seam roller can be used at the joints. Please note that strong heat and drafts must be avoided during application and drying. The optimal working temperature ranges from 18 °C to 25 °C.
Additional tips
Another advantage of decorating walls with non-woven wallpaper is that, if applied properly, it can be easily and completely removed dry from the wall during your next renovation.

Description
Its key distinguishing feature is its absolutely pure, monochromatic and refined light grey (silver-grey) tone, without any additional patterns.
The most significant added value of this design is its deeply matt surface, which is superbly harmonised with the fine, tactile texture characteristic of natural linen fabric. Visually, this design mimics a uniformly woven, high-quality grey linen fabric, completely eliminating any unwanted sheen and giving the walls a distinctly organic, elegant and visually soft appearance.
In interior design and the psychology of spaces, this combination of neutral, cool tones and a matt fabric texture is an indispensable fundamental element (‘white canvas’), which allows for the creation of a structured, intellectual and relaxing space.
The psychological aspect and its impact on the space:
-
Intellectual tranquillity and visual ‘silence’: Light grey tones are subconsciously associated with stability, order and balance. They act as a visual stress reliever in the room, without overwhelming the senses, allowing the mind to fully unwind from the daily overload of information.
-
Visual lightness and a cooling effect: The light silvery-grey shade brilliantly reflects natural light, visually pushing the walls back and making the room appear more spacious. Unlike warm beige tones, this colour brings a sense of freshness to the room, helping to visually balance and ‘cool down’ sun-drenched rooms.
-
Natural light diffusion and tactile depth: The deeply matt finish perfectly absorbs and gently diffuses light, preventing irritating glare. The fabric-like surface is crucial, as it removes the ‘cold’ or industrial character often associated with grey, ensuring a pleasant cosiness and helping to perfectly mask minor wall imperfections.
Expert recommendations for room selection:
Thanks to its absolute versatility and elegance, this wallpaper is ideally suited to:
-
As an excellent base or ‘companion’ wallpaper: will pair perfectly with any of the botanical, floral or striped motifs in grey or cool tones discussed earlier, allowing you to highlight an accent wall whilst maintaining a unified linen texture throughout the room.
-
For decorating any room (studies, living rooms, hallways): creating a neutral, elegant and peaceful backdrop that brilliantly highlights black or white furniture fronts, colourful works of art and vibrant interior décor.
-
For modern, high-tech or minimalist interiors: where the main emphasis is on clean lines, glass and metal details, but the walls need to be given a touch of tactile softness.
